Authentic early 20th century antique oak wall-mounted crank telephone featuring a Kellogg transmitter and original Chicago Telephone Supply Co. components manufactured in Elkhart, Indiana. This local-battery magneto wall phone showcases a beautifully quarter-sawn oak cabinet with classic finger-jointed construction, brass dual ringer bells, hand crank, separate black composition receiver, and cloth-covered cord.
Opening the hinged cabinet reveals a remarkably intact interior with its magneto generator, copper-wound coils, original wiring, and an original paper "Push Button Loop" instruction tag still tied inside. The telephone appears to retain many of its original components and presents as an outstanding example of early American telephone technology.
The cabinet displays attractive age-related patina with expected wear from decades of use, while the metal components retain their authentic finish and character. This telephone has not been tested and is being sold as an antique collectible and display piece. An excellent addition to a collection of antique telephones, communications history, industrial Americana, or country store décor.
